EndoUnite Project with Hansamo

Women's health issues—more specifically, monthly menstrual symptoms and reproductive illnesses—are often undervalued and not openly discussed within many traditionally conservative cultures. Often accepted as "normal," pain during periods can frequently be associated with other debilitating symptoms, ultimately affecting women's quality of life and emotional well-being.

The purpose of Hansamo's EndoUnite project is to create an opportunity for silently suffering women, mothers, and teens to receive the help and resources they need to find answers to their lifelong struggles with period pain. Specifically, we aim to educate the community about a commonly found but often unknown female reproductive illness called "Endometriosis." Common symptoms include severe pain before and during periods, pain with bowel movements and urination, and chronic fatigue. We envision EndoUnite to foster more open and confident discussions on women's health among East Asian and other minority cultures.
