2025 Mid-Autumn Festival
at Blackhawk Museum

Hansamo’s Dance Team and Nanta Team participated in the Mid-Autumn Festival held at the Blackhawk Museum on September 14, 2025. It was an honor to share traditional Korean performances alongside many beautiful Chinese cultural presentations.

The dance team performed Samgomu—a traditional Korean drum dance known for its graceful yet powerful movements and vibrant colors. The Nanta Team followed with a dynamic and rhythmic performance that filled the stage with energy and excitement. The audience watched with great focus and appreciation.

Representing Korea at this community event meant a lot to all of us. Although carrying and setting up heavy instruments was challenging, and preparing on weekends required extra effort, everyone felt proud to introduce Korea’s traditional arts to the local community.

Through this festival, we were honored to present Korea’s traditional culture as part of the celebration and to contribute to the diverse expressions of East Asian heritage.
