Hansamo Supports Bibimbap Cultural Experience at Dougherty Valley High School

On Friday, April 17, Hansamo proudly supported a special cultural activity at Dougherty Valley High School, where approximately 90 students from Korean classes Levels 1 through 5 came together to enjoy bibimbap.

Students carefully arranged their bowls with colorful ingredients, took photos with friends, and uploaded them to Google Slides along with their reflections. Many commented on how delicious the food was and how much fun they had during the activity.

As part of the activity, students learned the names of five key bibimbap ingredients as well as the colors associated with each one, deepening their understanding of the Korean language and culture in an engaging, hands-on way.

This event was an opportunity for students to experience Korean culture firsthand and to create meaningful memories together. Just as bibimbap represents harmony through the blending of diverse ingredients, the activity fostered a sense of togetherness and connection among the students.

Korean teacher Ms. Joo and her students expressed their sincere appreciation to Hansamo for making this meaningful experience possible.

Even the vice principal joined the event, finishing a full bowl of bibimbap. He learned the word “bibimbap” and shared that he looks forward to ordering it at a restaurant in the future.

Through initiatives such as supporting hands-on cultural experiences at high schools across the Bay Area, including bibimbap and kimbap-making events, Hansamo helps enrich Korean language education while providing students with meaningful and memorable experiences of Korean culture.
