2026 San Ramon Culture in the Community Festival
On February 1, 2026, Hansamo participated in the annual multicultural community event, “Culture in the Community,” hosted by the City of San Ramon at the Dougherty Station Community Arts Center. This year, we focused on our stage presence through performances rather than hosting a booth.
We presented Nanta and Samgomu, sharing the rhythms and movements of Korean tradition with the local community. Hansamo continues to participate in diverse events throughout the Tri-Valley and Bay Area—some celebrating Korean American heritage, and others fostering mutual respect and cultural understanding within our broader community.
San Ramon is where Hansamo began and where our organization is based. The City of San Ramon has supported and encouraged Hansamo for many years. Because of this long relationship, it is both an honor and a source of gratitude for us to contribute to San Ramon’s community events.
With that feeling in mind, our Samgomu and Nanta performances were especially meaningful. It was a rewarding and joyful experience to share Korean traditional culture with our neighbors and to be part of a celebration that values diversity and community.
